Lydia Preston

Lydia is a Governance Researcher on the Frontier AI Risk Management and Audit team. She works with frontier AI companies and governments to assess and strengthen their risk management frameworks, and researches risk management methodology. Before joining SaferAI, she was a GovAI Fellow, where she worked on power concentration and the governance of recursive self-improvement. Prior to that, she was on the Risk Management team at The Centre for Long-Term Resilience. She holds an MA in Philosophy from the University of St Andrews and a PGCE from the University of Oxford.
